RichWave Radar Sensor Earns to Intel Integrated Sensor Hub Vendor List

2023.09.01

The leading company in Wireless RF IC & Sensor design, RichWave is pleased to be listed as an Intel's sensor vendor of its up-to-date Intel Sensor Hub (ISH) 3rd Party Sensor Catalog in 2023. This ISH sensor catalog recognizes RichWave's Microwave Radar Sensor supported by 3rd party microdrivers that are compatible with the Intel Sensor Hub that could support the hardware and software elements in connection with certain Operating Systems on IA systems.

A Sensor Hub is a connection point for multiple sensors that uses a micro controller unit (MCU), Coprocessor, or Digital Signal Processor (DSP) set that helps integrate and process data from various sensors. The technology of Integrated Sensor Hub (ISH) enables the ability to offload sensor polling and algorithm processing to a dedicated low power processor in the chipset, saving battery consumption and improving performance. Intel developed its Integrated Sensor Hub (ISH) now supported on multiple generations of CPU packages, and providing 3rd Party Sensor Catalog identifies Hardware Vendor Components that Intel have tested as part of Validation and Plug Fests on target platforms. RichWave has been worked on Intel Integrated Sensor Hub  Micro-Drivers features of Human Presence Detection (HPD), vital sign detection and hand gesture recognition. Our 10GHz Microwave Radar Sensor first entered Intel's sensor component list provides alternatives to OEM/ODMs that intent to supply products that are suitable to IA platforms configured for certain Operating Systems.

RichWave RTC6031 featured of 9.5-10.6GHz Microwave Radar SoC, is a fully-integrated single-chip radar transceiver designed for excellent performance with powerful features in high quality of remote sensing systems. The radar sensor is suitable for system targeted at US FCC CFR47 Part 15.245/517/519, EU ETSI EN300 440, Japan ARIB STD-T73/T91, and China 10.2-10.6 GHz as well as UWB from 9.5-10.6GHz. The RTC6031 is software configurable supporting CW/FMCW operation and RichWave's unique IF-CW/IF-FMCW mode for range extension and devices co-existence. In April 2023, Intel has released the latest reference document of Intel Sensor Hub (ISH) 3rd Party Sensor Catalog to include RichWave RTC6031 10GHz Microwave Radar Sensor into Hardware Vendor Components. RichWave's RTC6031 radar sensor completed sensor validation is recognized as one of Intel Catalog Sensors by passing C3 compliancy test. ODM/OEM can choose our validated sensor compatible with ISH that could support their products that are suitable to IA platforms in connection with certain Operating Systems.
